Cargo ship suffered engine failure in the Northsea
The "Amadeus", enroute from Tyne to Bilbao with a cargo of 1600 metric tonnes of pig iron, suffered a main engine failure in position 054 15 40.2 N, 000 17 04.2 E on March 14, 2019, at 2.30 p.m. The vessel dropped anchor, and the tug "Sea Bronco" (IMO: 9345491), was mobilized from Falmouth to assist. It pulled the ship to an anchor position off Hornsea- It arrived at Dordrecht on March 19 short past midnight.
Ship stuck in pack ice
The "Amadeus" got stuck in pack ice off Løgstør in the morning of Feb 15, 2012, and needed the assistance of the tug "Zenith". The tug helped the ship into the Limfjord. In the afternoon the "Amadeus", which was en route Hamburg to Halmstad, anchored southwest of Løgstør.
