Hagland Borg in tow off Kvassheim

On Nov 29, 2011, at 12:45 p.m. the "Hagland Borg" suffered a breakdown 4.5 miles WSW of Kvassheim fire, with the "Fortuna" on scene and taking the vessel in tow. At 1:00 p.m. both ships moved northward with a speed of 1.5 to 2.5 knots, 30 minutes later increasing to 3 to 3.5 knots. At 2:30 p.m. the "Hagland Borg" was 6.4 miles off Kvassheim. At 7:20 p.m. the lifeboat "Peter Henry von Koss" reached the scene. At 7:50 p.m. the lifeboat had connected to the "Hagland Borg", and the tug "BB Coaster" was proceeding. At 8.50 p.m. the tug finally had taken the "Hagland Borg" in tow, and on Nov 30 at 3.30 a.m. the ship was moored in Mekjarvik.
