Medevac off Rhodes
The Port Authority of Rhodes was informed on May 2, 2022, at noon by the JRCC that a crew member of the 'Grande Mediterraneo', which sailed 128 nautical miles southeast of Rhodes en route from Ashdod to Ravenna, needed immediate hospital treatment. A Greek Air Force helicopter immediately took off, which picked up the patient and transported him to Maritsa Airport, Rhodes, where he was picked up by an ambulance and then taken to the Rhodes General Hospital for treatment.
