The 'Grand Eagle', which was en route from the Suez Canal to Misrata, was detained by a Libyan National Army (LNA) naval vessel for breaching the LNA 'No Sail Zone' while proceeding north-west of Derna on Oct 1, 2020. The vessel was escorted by the LNA vessel to the Ras Al Hilal anchorage, where it arrived at 03.15 a.m. on Oct 2. After probable administrative procedures and a fine payment guarantee, the vessel was released during the morning hours and resumed its passage to Misrata with an ETA as of Oct 4.
