Grounding off Eceabat
Enroute from Istanbul, where she had sailed on June 30, 2015, to Abu Qir the "Ibrahim Konan" ran aaground near Eceabat in the Poyraz Bay on July 1 at 3 a.m. The ship was loaded with ammonium sulphate. The tug "Söndüren 7" and the lifeboat "Kıyı Emniyeti 9" were dispatched to the grounding site. Also the supply vessel "Hakan K" (MMSI: 271010468) attended.
