Sold to undisclosed buyer
The "Spathoek" which has been idle since late September 2014 in the fishing port of Lauwersoog had to leave the berth due to work on the quay which started end pf October 2015. On Dec 14 the ferry departed to Rotterdam accompanied by a tug. Rederij Doeksen has sold the ship to an unnamed buyer. Engine damage caused delays
On Jan 2 and 3, 2014, a tug assisted the "Spathoek" on two crossings between Harlingen and Terschelling. On Jan 2 the main engine failed. The replacement of the drive shaft could not be carried out. The last travelers left Terschelling aboard the ferry on Jan 3 at 8 a.m. with one hour delay which increased to 1,5 hours when Docking at Harlingen with only one engine working.
