Crew member with fracture medevaced off Jobourg
A crew member of the "Symphony Star" broke his leg while the ship sailed 50 miles from Jobourg on Oct 1, 2017. The Maritime Medical Consultation Center of Toulouse (CCMM) and the Maritime Medical Coordination (SCMM) of Le Havre recommended a medical evacuation. A Cayman helicopter of the Navy base at Maupertus took on board a medical team of the Medical Center of the army of Querqueville and took off towards the ship. At 4:20 p.m., after being examined and prepared by the medical team for the evacuation, the victim was hoisted on board the helicopter and then transported to the port of Cherbourg-en-Cotentin. Around 5 p.m. he was delivered to the Pasteur hospital in Cherbourg-en-Cotentin.
