Allision in Brunsbüttel
On Jan 18, 2025, the 'FWN Atlantide', en route from Aliaga to Rostock, allided with the tail struckture of the new southern lock of the Kiel Canal in Brunsbüttel, just after this had been put back in operaton after the allision incident with the Cyprus flagged containe m/v 'Nordic Porto', 12514 gt (IMO: 9448671), on Jan 16 and the subsequent removal of debris. The incident was investigated, while the ship was moored inside the lock, and it was permitted to continue its eastbound voyage with an ETA as of Jan 19.
