Grounding off Port Said
The 'Astro Perseus' ran aground on Feb 9, 2020, at 8 a.m. at the Port Said Ancorage after getting out of the fairway. Several tugs were deployed to refloat the tanker on Feb 9, but all attempts so far failed. The salvage was suspended at night until daytime of Feb 10. At midday the tugs 'Mosaheb 1' (IMO: 9429429) and 'Mosaheb 4' (IMO: 9544982) were attending the ship in pos. 31° 18.51' N 032° 22.64' E. The 'Astro Perseus' finally was refloated on Feb 10 at 2.30 p.m. The tanker was en route from Ust-Luga to Tianjin with a cargo of crude oil.
