Robbers tried to board bulkcarrier at Chittagong
Seven robbers in a wooden boat with an outboard engine approached and attempted to board the anchored "Vela Ocean", using a hook attached to a rope, at the Chittagong Alpha anchorage, in position 22 15 00N, 91 44 54E, on May 6, 2018, at 3.25p.m. The crew noticed the robbers and raised the alarm. Seeing the alerted crew, the robbers aborted the boarding and fled. The local authorities were informed.
