Ever-Lenient

A fire broke out aboard the 'Ever Lenient' at the PSA Pasir Panjang Terminal, Singapore, on April 10, 2026. The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) was notified at approximately 3:00 p.m.LT. Emergency response teams were immediately mobilised with the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) leading firefighting efforts to contain the blaze. Subsequently, the MPA deployed a patrol boat to conduct seaward cordon duties and drones for aerial surveillance to assist in the firefighting operations. The firefighting efforts continued through the night and into the following day. By the afternoon of April 11, the fire was successfully extinguished, with no residual heat detected. All crew members on board were reported safe, with no injuries reported. No oil pollution occurred as a result of the incident, and port operations at PSA Pasir Panjang Terminal remained unaffected. An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the fire.
