Just as the port was set to reopen, inclement weather had further delayed activities. After a week of waiting, the Minerva Zoe is poised to begin loading an impressive 725,000 barrels of crude oil, destined for Italy. Additionally, another vessel has recently arrived to deliver 25,000 tonnes of fuel to Libyan shores. The Hariga port, located in the eastern city of Tobruk, stands as the last remaining operational onshore export facility and has increasingly become a crucial point for fuel imports, especially as Benghazi's commercial port remains closed due to ongoing conflicts between pro-government forces and Islamist factions.
