Tanker located boat with 50 migrants
In the early morning of Nov 30, 2023, a rubber boat with 50 people on board, of North African origin, was located 40 nautical miles east of Arrecife by the 'FT Sturla'. The tanker was en route from Dhaka to Ravenna and notified Salvamento Maritimo. The SAR boat 'Guardamar Caliope' was mobilized and picked up the occupants, who were taken to Arrecife.
