Fishcarrier ran aground near Flatval
On Oct 10, 2014, at 6 p.m. the "Frøystrand", coming from Kristinansund, ran aground on a rocky islet, not far from the old ferry landing on Flatval after having suffered rudder failure. Several boats assisted, weather on Scene was calm. Late in the night the ship refloated with the rising Tide and docked at the Kverhusvik Shipyard in Dolmsundet around midnight.
