Allision in Maløy
On April 15, 2026, the 'Frøya', en route from Bergen, with 20 passengers and five crew members on board.allided with a quay in Maløy. The ferry was trying to get alongside the quay, but then struck a corner in front of the quay. No one was injured. It suffered a breach of about 3,5 metres length in the starboard side hull above the waterline. There was minor damage to the quayside too.The ship was sidelined at the quay until it had been investigated. As a result of the incident, the operator Norled has cancelled the sailing on to Selje, and the return to Bergen at 3:20.p.m. The ferry was sent to the Johansen Slip & Mek in Raudeberg for repairs.
