Detention in Vigo
The "Go Electra" was detained on March 29, 2019, by order of Maritime Captaincy in Vigo. After denouncing the ITF union the breach of the International Maritime Labor Convention for the non-payment of salaries, among other reasons, Paris MOU inspectors detected during their control on board a total lack of maintenance of the ship. The captaincy also confirmed the deficient working situation of the crew, mostly Polish, so the ship was arrested in the dock of commerce. The vessel left port again on May 16 at 9.30 p.m., bound to Ciudad del Carmen, Mexico, with an ETA as of June 7.
