Evelyn-Maersk

the Indian Coast Guard (ICG) coordinated the medevac of Valid Ola Gilbert, a Philippine native, from the 'Evelyn Maersk', en route from Colombo to the Suez Canal, in the night of Aug 13, 2023, after he had suffered a cardiac attact. The patient was medevaced onto the ICGS 'C-427', which was deploysed from Vizhinjam, about 55 nautical miles east of the port. Also a helicopter was sent from Kochi, but was unable to hoist the patient due to strong winds. The man was stabilised on the way to the port with oxygen support and further medical aid, before being transported to the NIMS Hospital in Neyyattinkara for medical care.

The "Evelyn Maersk", en route from Wilhelmshaven to Felixstowe, sailing in ballast, suffered an issue with a main engine air valve in position 52 15 33.6 N, 002 01 18 E, on March 11, 2019, at 3.50 p.m. The vessel confirmed the engine could be repaired in transit and it resumed the voyage to Felixstowe, where it arrived on March 19.

Fully cellular containership Evelyn Maersk, en route from Rotterdam, Netherlands to Tanger Med, Morocco, with 25 persons on board, experienced a problem with the main engine, due to a broken pipe, in position lat 050 26 09N, long 000 32 21E, 22 miles southeast of Selsey Bill, at 0319 hrs, today. According to reports, the vessel is carrying, containers weighing 113887.34 metric tonnes and 7088.1 metric tonnes of heavy fuel oil, 248.4 metric tonnes of diesel oil and 986 metric tonnes of ultra-low fuel oil, as bunker.
