Master medevaced off Pottsville
The captain of the "Eternal Resource", which was enroute from Newcastle to Yuhuan, has been rescued at sea after suffering a stroke on Sep 7, 2014. The Burmese man, aged in his 60s, remained in serious condition after the RACQ CareFlight chopper which was alerted at 10 a.m. winched him from the ship, which was located about 30 nautical miles off Pottsville in northern NSW, and flew him to the Gold Coast University Hospital for treatment. The mission took about two hours.
