Tanker caused oil spill in Penang
The “Nautica Maharani” spilled an unknown volume of oil into the North Channel, Penang, in the evening of May 28, 2016, causing a serious spill covering about 70 square kilometers. The amount of lost oil was unknown as the spill was reported more than 24 hours after the accident. What caused the spill, was yet unknown.
