Medevac off Flushing
The KNRM lifeboat of the station Breskens hmedevaced a crew member of the "Procida" in Flushing East on Apr 6, 2015. The man had been found unconscious, and the crew contacted the Radio Medical Service. The attending physician decided that mthe man should be evacuated as soon as possible. The lifeboat "Zeemanshoop" was alerted at 8.30 a.m. and proceeded to the anchorage where the tanker was carrying out bunker operations at the buoys. Besides the lifeboat also an ambulance was alerted. Three crew members of the tanker hoisted the stretcher aboard. The police vessel "P41" transferred the ambulance staff aboard the lifeboat. The KNRM crew meanwhile stabilized the patient, and With the deck crane of the tanker, the patient was brought aboard the lifeboat. After docking at the Vlissingse Bootliedenwacht (VLB) the man was transported to the waiting ambulance.
