Almariya

On Sep 7, 2017, at 12.30 p.m. a fire broke out due an electrical fault in the engine room of the "Almariya" with 1668 passengers on board, shortly after the ferry left Nador bound for Almeria. The fire was quickly extinguished by the crew, but the vessel was disabled, and drifted off Nador until 6 a.m. before it was towed back to Nador by two tugs for security reasons. Back in port, all passengers disembarked. They were relocated at short terms on two extraordinary trips of the high speed ferries "Alborán" and "Volcán de Teno". In addition, the company planned the reinforcement on the route by the catamaran "Alcántara Dos", which will cover the capacity of space unavailable durng the repair of the "Almariya". Paradise Cruise&Ferry has held its first cruise of the new visa-free line onboard M/V Isabella 1. The passengers visited the Olympic capital Sochi and the surroundings of Batumi (Georgia).

The "Nordlandia" got stuck off Helsinki on Feb 12 in thick ice. The ship had departed from Helsinki at 8 a.m. just to be stopped by the ice barrier one hour later. The ice breaker "Sisu" was called to assist the ship.
