Skipper lost over board
Jan de Boer (51) from Urk, the master of the "Enterprise - PD 147" was lost over board in the morning of July 9, 2015, off the east coast of England in bad weather. A wave knocked him overboard, and his colleagues in vain tried to save his life. They got him back on board, but despite attempts to resuscitate him, the help came too late for him. De Boer was co-owner of the Ekofish Group, a company that focuses on sustainable fisheries. His body was transferred to Urk in the run of the day.
