The "NS Asia" lost its starboard side anchor due to rough weather and wind gusts off Rotterdam in position 52 10 18.6 N, 003 37 44.4 W on July 31, 2019, at 4.25 p.m. The anchor reportedly had one shackle and weighs 10.300 kilograms.

On Mar 27, 2011, the "NS Asia" reported a pirate attack, in position 15 553N 055 517E, 235 miles northeast of Socotra. A speed boat with 3 pirates approached the vessel, but after armed guards on board fired warning shots, the pirates returned to their mother-ship, located in pos 15 500N 055 507E.
