Tanker detained for illegal anchoring
The 'Eneos Ocean' with 26 crew members was detained about 53 nautical miles Northwest of Pulau Kendi in Penang on June 15, 2021, around 4 p.m. LT by the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency for illegally anchoring in Malaysian waters. The crew have failed to provide approval documents for anchoring and did not notify them of their arrival in Malaysian waters. The tanker, which was en route from Shimotsu to Fujairah with an ETA as of June 26, remained moored in pos. 05° 12.10' N 100° 9.64' E as of June 17.
