Tanker repurchased by Exmar
The Belgian gas shipping company Exmar has reached an agreement to repurchase the VLGC 'Flanders Innovation' from its lessor. The group announced this on the evening of March 4, 2026. The vessel is currently financed under a lease agreement with a purchase option. The purchase price under the option was agreed upon in Japanese yen. At the current exchange rate, Exmar will realize a financial gain of approximately $12 million. The vessel was expected to be delivered to Exmar at the end of June 2026.
