On Nov 25, 2010, a fire broke out aboard the "Finnlady" at the quay in Vuosaari, Helsinki. The small fire which broke out in the women's sauna when banks were set alight while heating the sauna, was quickly extinguished thanks to the reporting system and quick reaction of the well-trained crew. There was only little damage which has already been repaired. The ferry left port the same evening on its regular trip to Luebeck-Travemuende.
