Suspicion of violation of environmental protection legislation
During an inspection of the "Fensfjord" on Feb 28, 2018, at the quay in Lübeck-Siems the water police found a malfunctioning wastewater treatment plant. First the documentation of the treatment of the ballast water was critizised. Furthermore, there were indications that the wastewater treatment plant was malfunctioning leading to the concrete suspicion that waste water had been pumped into the sea. For this violation against the marine environmental protection legislation a security deposit of 800, - € had to be paid in cash. The ship left the port of Lübeck again on March 1, bound to Sandnes.
