The "Fedor" remained anchored in pos. 16° 6.85' N 095° 9.49' W off Salina Cruz following the accident on July 2. The tanker was conducting cargo operations at the multi buoy mooring in Salina Cruz when due to sudden heavy gusts several ropes parted and the vessel allided with a mooring dolphin. The shiup suffered damage to the shell plates in the area of the aft peak tank above the waterline, but did not spill fuel. The vessel has shifted to the anchorage after the accident, and representatives of the company as well as maritime authorities were in attendance.

On July 2, 2018, the "Fedor" allided with the pier 9 of the Operations and Maritime Terminal of Pemex in Oaxaca in the municipality of Salina Cruz while loading hydrocarbon. .
