Perpetrators tried to board tanker off Lagos
Three perpetrators in a small boat approached the 'Dong-A Thetis' which was anchored in position 06 17 53N, 003 14 16E, at the Lagos secure anchorage, on Feb 18 2020. at 12.20 a.m. They attempted to board the ship via the anchor chain. The duty crew members on routine rounds noticed the boarding and raised the alarm. Seeing the alerted crew members, the perpetrators aborted the attempt and escaped in their boat. The incident was reported to the Lagos Port Control.
