Master medevaced in Bermuda
The ‘Federal Alster’ diverted to Bermuda due to a sick crew member. The ship arrived off the east end in the evening of Aug 6, 2019, and was met by the pilot boat "St David". The sick crew member, understood to be the captain, was transferred to the pilot boat and transported to Ordnance Island where there was a waiting ambulance which took him to King Edward Memorial Hospital for treatment. The ship which had come from Riga continued on its way to Cristobal, ETA Aug 12.
