On the early afternoon of Aug 27, 2025, the captain of the 'Galicia' requested assistance from the CROSS Jobourg after one of the passengers, who was ill, was seeking medical assistance. The ship, which was operating between Bilbao and Portsmouth, was sailing approximately 20 nautical miles northwest of the Pointe de la Hague in the English Channel. The CRISO Jobourg established a conference call with the Toulouse Maritime Medical Consultation Center in Haute-Garonne, the Maritime Medical Coordination Emergency Medical Service (SAMU) in Le Havre and the 133 medical unit of the French Army Health Service based in Querqueville. After analyzing the situation, it was recommended to mecevac the patient. The CROSS Jobourg engaged an H-160 helicopter of the Naval Base in Maupertus. The helicopter took off with a medical team from the armed forces' health service on board. Once on site, it landed on the ferry and took the patient on board. He was then dropped off in Tourlaville, where he was taken care of by rescue services and transported to the hospital.

About 400 passengers were stuck on board of the 'Galicia', in the Port of Bilbao due to a technical problem on Oct 17, 2024. The ship was due to sail to Rosslare at 4 p.m. Irish time. The voyage was abandoned because of a problem affecting one of the two vessel’s engines. The passengers could remain on the vessel during the night, while engineeres tried to fix the damage, but had to disembark on Oct 18 at 7 a.m. The ship remained stationary in port for the time being.

On Aug 11, 2024, a 5-year-old child was injured aboard the 'Galicia' ad needed to be medevaced 200 kilometers south of Penmarch. The alert was given at 9:58 p.m. A H160 helicopter from the French Navy, from the Lanvéoc base, was deployed at 10:32 p.m. The boy was airilifted onto a helicopter along with his mother, both of Spanish nationality, while the ferry was en route between Bilbao and Rosslare and admitted to the La Cavale-Blanche hospital in Brest, shortly after midnight. The child's life was not in danger.

On July 18, 2024, the 'Galicia', en route from Rosslare, sighted a boat with water ingress about 13.5 nautical miles north of Bilbao. The crew located three people in the water with life jackets, who were rescued and taken to the port of Bilbao at around 9 a.m. The CCS Bilbao of Salvamento Marítimo also mobilized the SAR ship 'María de Maeztu', which recovered the radio beacon and some debris. The fishing vessel 'Txindor 4' had meanwhile sunk. It had left the Real Club Marítimo del Abra in Getxo and began to capsize around 5:15 a.m. without its three crew members being able to do anything to prevent it. After almost an hour of swimming, the fishermen were rescued in perfect condition by the ferr crew. The 'Galicia' arrived at the Bilbao terminal around 9 a.m., one hour behind schedule. Once at the port, the three fishermen have been assisted by the National Police, the Civil Guard, as well as an ambulance, but they have not required any type of medical assistance.
