Disabled ship towed to Dunkirk
On the evening of Jan 24, 2026, the 'Fast Stim', enroute from Antwerp with 12 crew members on board, suffered an engine failure in very rough seas in the Strait of Dover (Lat. 51.0433 Lng.1.3687). In a response, which was coordinated by the CROSS Gris-Nez, the emergency tug 'VB Abeille Normandie' (IMO: 9442421). was deployed to assist and established a towing connection shortly before 10:00 p.m. The ship was then safely towed to the port of Dunkirk, where it arrived on Jan 25 shortly before 4:00 a.m. for repairs.
