In the morning of Aug 5, 2010, the "Eiltank 49“, 2605 ts was in collision with a barge train on the Rhine at St. Goarshausen-Ehrenthal. At 3.30 a.m. the "Eiltank 49" with a cargo of 1500 tons benzol suffered rudder failure and ran into the other ship. The Rhine at St. Goar was closed for ship traffic from 3.45 a.m. to 8.38 a.m. while tugs pulled the tank m/v to Bad Salzig roads. Ships had to wait at Bingen and Bad Salzig.
