Viking Line and the City of Helsinki have reached an agreement regarding the allision of the 'Gabriella' with the quay at Allas Seapool on Skatudden on Jan 12, 2022. Both the quay and a wall needed to be repaired. According to the Helsinki District Court, the case has been closed. The city and Viking Line have held settlement negotiations, where the parties have reached a settlement solution that was in accordance with the overall interest of the city,. The allision also led to damage to the Allas Sea Pool outdoor pool. The pier and the sauna building on top of it were moved almost 30 centimeters towards the Market Square. The company stands by its demand that Viking Line pay compensation to the company, and that case is still in the District Court. Viking Line has not agreed to the company's previous mediation proposal.

Viking Line can breathe a sigh of relief, as no bedbugs have been found on the 'Gabriella'. Three technicians and a dog have been on board the ferry and conducted an investigation. It showed that there were no bedbugs on board. Last week a passenger had reported bedbugs on the ship, and Viking Line closed three cabins to investigate them. A company specializing in pest control has gone on board with lice dogs but has not found anything. The passenger had sent a picture of the lice, but according to the specialist company, the animal in the picture does not look like bedbugs. The cabins that have been investigated could not be booked for the time of the investigation.

On the morning of Jan 21, 2025. the 'Gabriella' suffered a technical failure in Helsinki and remained sidelined for repairs.
