Bulk carriergrounded at Ahırkapı anchorage
On Dec 20, 2025, the 'Alfaisaliah ran aground in the Sea of Marmara in the Ahırkapı anchorage area, enroute from Istanbul to Suez. Coastalsafety deployed the SAR boat 'Kiyem 3' (MMSI: 271010031) along with the tugs'Kurtarma 9' (IMO: 9598581) and 'Kurtarma 21' (IMO: 1066946) to assist. A diver team was also dispatched to the scene. On Dec 21 the bulk carrier was refloated and anchored in pos. 40° 57' N 028° 54 E, where it remained stationary as of Dec 23.
