Ship of illiquid state company put up for sale

A few days ago, the Crnogorska plovidba put both of its ships, the "Kotor" and the "Dvadesetprvi maj", on the used ship market, because at the initiative of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs, which claimed that the state allegedly no longer had any legal possibility to support this 100% state-owned company to maintain liquidity, the Government made a decision to urgently sell both of Crnogorska's ships. The "Kotor" has beem detained in Tyne on Aug 4, 2025. The 'Dvadesetprvi maj' has been anchored off Laem Chabang in pos. 13° 12' N 100° 50' E since its arrival from Yeosou on Aug 3.

Coming from Batumi, the ferry "Drujba" allided with the berthed "Dvadesetprvi Maj" at Bourgas, on Feb 15, 2018. The "Dvadestprvi Maj" suffered damage to hull, deck and equipment on her port side. No pollution reported. An investigation of the incident by the relevant authorities was in progress.
