Allision in Brunsbüttel
On Feb 11, 2020, at 11.25 p.m. the 'Düzgit Dignity', coming from Rotterdam, allided with the wall of the new Northern lock of the Kiel Canal in Brunsbüttel prior to its eastbound transit. The wall suffered damage at the height of the gate, and lose stones had to be removed after the impact. The police in Brunsbüttel was called to investigate the incident. The ship was allowed to resume its voyage towards the Baltic Sea at 1.10 a.m. on Feb 12 and completed its canal transit at 8.20 a.m.
