Bulker dragged anchor
The "Kwela" dragged its anchor in Wellington Harbour in the morning of Sep 11, 2013. The "Kwela" had been anchored in the harbour overnight near Aotea Wharf. About 6 a.m. the wind caused it to drag its anchor and the port captain called the pilot, who safely anchored the ship further up the harbour in the lee of the hills near Ngauranga Gorge. The ship had been under power and had not drifted. The ship was now okay and waiting for her berth to be available.
