The "RMS Veritas" allided with a canal structure in the Manchester Ship Channel in the early morning of Oct 7, 2018, while approaching Irlam, Manchester. There was a dense fog at the time of the accident. The ship was to be surveyed by divers on Oct 8. As of afternoon of Oct 8, it was berthed at Irlam.
