Wile the 'Alea' was underway in position 01 16 25.2N, 104 16 28.2E, in the Eastbound lane of the Singapore Strait, four robbers armed with knives boarded the vessel on May 23, 2021, at 3.30 p.m. They threatened a duty crew member, who retreated into the accommodation. The alarm was raised, and the crew mustered, resulting in the robbers fleeing the vessel and escaping without stealing anything. Following the incident, the vessel continued its voyage from Istanbul to China.
