Leakage in floor of deck 5
The 'Disney Magic', en route from Miami to San Juan, suffered a major leak stemming from the floor of deck 5 on the afternoon of March 29. Water was falling from the ceiling near the chandelier lights in the main atrium, meaning it was leaking from deck 5 all the way down to deck 3. You can watch a video of the leakage below: The leakage was still ongoing on March 30 and has worsened. The floors 3/4/5 amidships were closed with activities cancelled/moved and passengers also need edto go to other decks to go from forward to aft. Some people in the 6500s cabins had to change rooms and were given some sort of compensation. Nine year old girl medevaced off Galveston
A U.S. Coast Guard helicopter crew medevaced a 9-year-old girl from the 'Disney Magic' 170 miles offshore of Galveston, Texas, on March 3, 2025. The Air Station Houston responded to a medical emergency aboard the vessel, successfully airlifting the child to UTMB Health - University of Texas Hospital in Galveston for further treatment. The girl was reported to be in stable condition. The 'Disney Magic' had departed from Galveston on March 2 for a four-day Western Caribbean cruise. Medevac off Venice
The US Coast Guard medevaced a 37-year-old man from the 'Disney Magic' near Venice, Louisiana, on March 9, 2023. Coast Guard Sector New Orleans watchstanders received a call at approximately 9:30 p.m. from the cruise ship, requesting a medevac for a passenger aboard reportedly experiencing severe abdominal pain. The Sector New Orleans watchstanders coordinated the launch of a Coast Guard Station Venice 45-foot Response Boat-Medium boat crew to assist. The boat crew arrived on scene, embarked the man aboard the RB-M and transferred him to awaiting emergency medical services personnel back at the Station Venice.
