Paitent stable following medevac
The man who was medevaced off the "Al Dafna" off the Indian Coast on June 25 was reported to be stabled after medical treatment. The coast guard had advised the master of the ship which was enroute to Incheon, to close in on 20 nautical miles off the Mumbai coast. A helicopter took off and hoisted the patient at 7 a.m. He was then transported to the Jaslok Hospital for further treatment.
Indian Coast Guard evacuates seaman off Mumbai coast
The Indian Coast Guard on June, 24 2012, evacuated a person on board of LPG carrier AL Dafna, off the Mumbai coast, following a medical emergency. The coast guard received a message at 4 AM local time from the vessel, which was on its way to Qatar from South Korea, regarding the medical condition of Narendra Sharma who was suffering from acute abdominal pain, a Coast Guard release said.
