Fire at Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky port
On Oct 30, 2025, a fire broke out aboard the bulk 'Demi' at the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky seaport. The blaze affected an area of about 100 square meters, prompting an immediate response from the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation. Response teams deployed seven units and 45 personnel with seven breathing apparatus units. to contain the fire, which couöd be successfully kept from spreading before being finally extinguished. No casualties or injuries were reported. The cause of the fire was under review as investigators started assessing the incident and examine shipboard safety compliance.
