Two tankers attacked off Yemen
The 'Delta Atlantica' and 'On Phoenix' got under attack in the Red Sea off the coast of Yemen on Aug 13, 2024, although neither reported damage,The Houthis have not claimed responsibility. The vessels and crew in both incidents were safe and proceeding to their next ports of call. The captain of the 'Delta Atlantica' reported three incidents, including two approaches by drone boats, according to the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) agency and British maritime security firm Ambrey and JIMC. Delta Tankers confirmed reports that the tanker and the crew were safe.
