Bulkcarriers in collision
The bulkcarriers "Free Neptune" (IMO: 9146819) and "Da Zi Yun" collided in the evening of June 5, 2013, off the Noukachott port, Mauritania, Odin.tc reports. The "Free Neptune" suffered severe damages with ensuing water ingress. The situation seemed to be under control in the afternoon of June 6, the vessel was anchored on the port’s road. The "Da Zi Yun" was proceeding in northern direction at some 12 knots speed. The ship was enroute Nouakchott-Las Palmas.
